Contrary to popular belief, it is very difficult to capture a person’s “true essence” through photography, as people are a lot more complicated than a simple 2D representation of themselves (shocking, I know!). Despite this, with a certain amount of know-how, it is possible to capture who that person is, which I always strive for when it comes to my portrait photography.
