Natural Beauty

Geometry and nature go hand in hand. Nowhere is that more apparent than in flora (flowers and plants). Just like most things in nature, I am fascinated by plants. The different evolutionary paths taken have produced some incredible and beautiful structures. For instance, the flower of the Bird of Paradise is thought to have gained its peculiar and unique shape and coloring in order to help entice a very specific bird (Sun Bird) to come and visit it in its native habitat of South Africa, thereby aiding in its pollination.

From a photography perspective, the sheer variety and color gamut is all a photographer could ever ask for. Macro photography can also further enhance that sense of awe by allowing to see structures and interactions—usually through the form of miniature insects—that one would normally not notice. Nature is truly the greatest and most creative artist of them all. I do my best to capture some of that magic through my lens.
